We touched down in San Jose 48 hrs ago and have been blazin’ our way through this country as only the guys from the HoliDaze could. Currently we are staying at a hostel in La Fortuna, although tomorrow we depart from Monteverde. Then, after a couple days there we head back to San Jose to meet Jen at the airport and begin a lap through the southwestern part of Costa Rica.

From there, well, we don’t really know exactly which cities will be going to or where we will end up. We want to avoid the tourist traps (obviously), so don’t count on us going anywhere you recognize. I think Montezuma will probably be on of the places we, Costa Rica’s stoner paradise — supposedly. I will advise by next week.

La Fortuna, Costa Rica

So what to say about La Fortuna… well despite being home to only a few thousand local ticos and ticas, lots of backpackers and other tourists pass through here because of its proximity to the Arenal Volcano. The place is undeniably gorgeous, although obviously a little run down at places. But the hostel we are at is top notch. I’ll post pictures here later this evening, no worries. For now I am off to go spelunking, be back in a few hours.
